So, society's expectations from higher education institutions, which were previously perceived as an institution that taught students vocational and professional knowledge and imparted some academic knowledge, are different and higher today. Society today expects teachers to have reasonable knowledge of the subjects they teach, teaching skills, and up-to-date experience and professionalism in how to teach.
