Summary. The creation of the content of personality-oriented education based on competence in the directives on educational reforms in Azerbaijan, including the State Strategy for the Development of Education in Azerbaijan, sets important tasks for secondary school teachers. For the successful solution of these tasks, primary school teachers must effectively use their creative potential to increase the level of personality of students in life lessons. To do this, they can ensure the comprehensive development of students, including their creative abilities, using their competencies in a purposeful, planned, organized manner. That is why the creation of the content of education based on competencies in the educational process organized in accordance with the curriculum training policy implemented in our country is important. In this sense, it is important to conduct research on the creation of a new work model using the competencies of primary school teachers in life skills classes.
