THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMANISM IN THE AZERBAIJANI NATIONAL PRESS

IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY

Summary. The second half of the 19th century is a significant and brilliant period in the nationalcultural and pedagogical life of the Azerbaijani people. In the historical destiny of our people, the creation and initial development stage of the national press also belongs to this period. During this period, there were ideas of humanism with a new content in the line of ideas promoted in the national press. Our progressive ideological educators, led by H. Zardabi and S. Unsizade, enthusiastically propagated the ideas of humanism. They tried to explain to the general public that it is impossible to create a democratic society without fundamentally achieving humanism in the society. Also, development cannot be achieved without creating a humane society.In the article, we have tried to provide a broad scientific interpretation of these issues.
