Summary. Both system and application software,
which are the basis of computer activity, are created directly with the help of
programming languages. Raising a new generation of high-level and educated
programmers in Azerbaijan is an extremely urgent and important issue for our
country. For this, it is necessary to raise the teaching of programming
languages and theory of algorithms to a high level in higher schools and other
educational institutions of our Republic. In the article, the ways of improving
the quality of teaching, the features of selecting and teaching working methods
that meet modern requirements that can be used in all educational institutions
are described.
