SIGMUND FREUD AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DEFENSE MECHANISMS

Summary. The article reflects research on psychological defense and its mechanisms. In this direction, the reference to Z. Freud's researches is of great importance. According to Z.Freud, defense mechanisms are a strategy for resolving the conflict arising from the struggle between the id and the ego.

The phenomenon of psychological defense has been analyzed in a psychotherapeutic context as it originates from clinical experience.
