THE PURPOSE AND IMPORTANCE OF HISTORY TEACHING IN HIGH SCHOOLS

Summary. The goals and objectives of studying history at school are formulated as a combination of value orientations and personal qualities that are priority for society, manifested both in the educational process and in a broad social context. The main goal is the education, development and upbringing of the student's personality, capable of self-identification and determining their value priorities based on understanding the historical experience of their country and humanity as a whole, actively and creatively applying historical knowledge in educational and social activities.
