THE ROLE OF THE SUBJECT ASTRONOMY IN
TEACHING THE TOPIC INTENSITY
OF THE GRAVITATIONAL FIELD
Summary. The law of
universal gravitation is taught in the section "Forces of gravity" in
the X grade of a comprehensive school. In the methodological literature, this
law is taught in several ways [1]. Consider the following three main historical
stages in connection with the discovery of the law: 1. The era before Newton.
2. The period of Newton's activity. 3. Post-Newtonian era.
For the
first time, elementary ideas about universal gravity were created by the Greek
scientists Aristotle, Empidocles, Anaxagoras and Democritus. According to
ancient Greek thinkers, objects similar in nature tend to combine. Aristotle
explained the phenomenon of objects falling to the Earth from a certain height
as follows: all objects tend to move towards the center of the Earth. He considered
the Earth to be the center of the Universe [2].
