IN TEACHING BIOLOGICAL
SCIENCES (GRADES X-XI)
Summary. The article shows that a developed
society cannot be built without comprehensive knowledge of people. Learning the
basics of science begins with concepts. Natural visualization, descriptive
visualization plays a key role in developing understanding. It is especially
emphasized that interdisciplinary communication should be widely used to
develop understandings. Students should be taught to relate any concept to
another subject.
The article emphasizes the great role of
diagrams in the development of concepts, it is noted that biology teachers can
draw diagrams on the blackboard themselves or suggest that students draw them
at home. Schemes should be comparative in nature. It is also shown that
concepts are remembered better when they are linked to previous concepts, when
they are systematically developed.
