Summary. Education is a field of activity that has strategic importance and is highly developed, being the basis of the development of society and the state. The educational system of the Republic of Azerbaijan is based on the national ground, universal values, and has a democratic character. In the article, the education strategy, which was founded by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, and his invaluable services in the development of education, were highlighted. At the same time, the successes achieved in the field of education after independence were examined from a new perspective.
