Summary. National leader Heydar Aliyev was one of the geniuses that history does not often give to the world. God gave the great leader Heydar Aliyev a strong will and understanding, an inexhaustible talent as a statesman, and political skill. The article tells that Heydar Aliyeva played an invaluable role in the restoration of democracy in Azerbaijan and today our country, relying on its democratic heritage, has gained prestige and status throughout the world. For the Azerbaijani people, the invaluable merit of the Great Leader lies in the fact that, thanks to him, Azerbaijan in the 21st century went down in history as the owner of a rich energy reserve.
