DIGITAL SKILLS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF INFORMATION CULTURE

Summary. In the article, the formation of digital skills and information culture in students is presented as one of the main goals facing the modern school. It is noted that the realization of this goal requires a new approach to the content of informatics. The author considers digital skills to be the foundation of information culture, and emphasizes that information culture belongs to the range of pedagogical concepts. E-citizen training is characterized as one of the main missions of the modern school model, to train a competitive personality in the international, including national labor and education market.
