MONITORING AND EVALUATION AS A STATISTICAL INDICATOR OF THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION

Summary. The purpose and essence of quality monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in educational institutions are explained in the article, and their comparative analysis is given. The stages and conditions of organization of assessment and monitoring are indicated. Brief information is given about the evaluation system and different scale mechanisms applied in the countries of the world. The historical path of student achievement assessment process is discussed.
