INDEPENDENT ACTIVITY OF STUDENTS
IN THE CONTEXT OF PARADIGMS OF MEMORY, THINKING AND
IMAGINATION
Summary. The article describes the mechanisms of organizing independent training activities in terms of
different methods and technologies. The author analyzes the organization of
independent learning activities in the context of memory, thinking and
imagination paradigms. According to him, in the memorization-based learning
process, learners have limited opportunities for independent learning. When
training is
organized on the basis of thinking criteria, students are involved in
independent activity. As a result, they "learned to learn". This
expands their opportunities for self-education in their future activities. When
the paradigm of imagination is a priority in the training process, the
necessary qualities for independent
creative activity are formed in the students. The author considers it appropriate to apply all
three paradigms in unity in the organization of training in higher schools.
