MODERN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION: OPPORTUNITIES AND PROSPECTS

Summary. The article presents an analysis of the issue of using information technologies in education, namely, the concept, purpose, types and forms, directions, and prospects of its use. The study describes the structure of the modern digital educational environment. It also determines the possibilities of information educational technologies in the design and implementation of the educational process, the aspects of implementation at the current stage of education development, and in response to today's challenges. The authors of the study identify the educational potential of information technologies. The article is intended for teachers of higher educational institutions, teachers of the system of additional education, graduate students, undergraduates, students of pedagogical universities, and other employees in the field of education.
