Summary. Improving mathematics education is a
multifaceted process and therefore needs to be approached from different
angles. Along with the improvement of the content and methods of teaching
mathematics in primary school, students should be provided with high interest,
initiative and activity. In the article, the ways of using the methodical
system of problem-based learning in mathematics education have been extensively
investigated.
