IMPROVING THE CONTENT OF HIGHER PEDAGOGICAL
EDUCATION IN AZERBAIJAN IN THE
40S AND 50S OF THE 20TH CENTURY
Summary: In the 40s and 50s of the 20th century, the process
of improving the content of higher pedagogical
education continued in Azerbaijan. Multidisciplinarity in curricula has been
drastically reduced. In the 1949/50
academic years, fundamental changes were made to the curricula of universities,
and in the 1951/52 academic years, to
the curricula of pedagogical universities. In connection with the withdrawal of certain subjects from the curricula of the
general education series, the practical training of teachers has been strengthened to a certain extent. The
total number of hours devoted to pedagogical, teaching and industrial practice has been increased. The basis of
new educational programs made the writing of new textbooks more relevant.
A new textbook and textbook
on pedagogy was written (A. Seidov, M. Mehdizade, M. Muradkhanov).
