TEACHING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES
THROUGH THE EYES OF TEACHERS AND PARENTS (BASED ON ANALYSIS OF SURVEY RESULTS)
Summary. Questionnaire surveys were conducted in
10 integrated (special) schools and boarding schools of Baku in May-June 2023
in connection with the study of difficulties in the integration of children with
limited health opportunities into life. Representatives of two social groups
participated in the survey: teachers (500 teachers) and parents of children
with disabilities (300 parents). The choice of these two social groups is
related to the fact that all respondents are participants in the educational
process and that their interests are primarily addressed in the process of
applying special education. In this article, the obtained results were
analyzed, and the problems in the application of special education were
reflected. At the same time, it is possible to determine the ways and
directions of development and improvement of special education on the basis of
the revealed problems.
