USING COUNTEREXAMPLES IN THE STUDY OF CONDITIONAL AND ABSOLUTE EXTREMA OF A MULTIVARIABLE FUNCTION IN A MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS COURSE

Summary. The presented work is dedicated to one of the most fundamental sections of the Mathematical analysis course of Higher Pedagogical Schools: Differential calculus of multivariable functions. In this section, methods of using counterexamples are discussed in the study of conditional and absolute extrema of the function. In this section, in the study of extremums in theorems and propositions, the absolute and conditional extremums of the arguments, finding extremums within the additional condition (by satisfying the communication equation) and counterexamples built in the direction play an important role in increasing the creativity of students and in the correct understanding of new concepts. The author believes that the use of counterexamples is very useful in other topics of mathematical analysis.
