QUANTITY IN AZERBAIJAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MEANS OF EXPRESSION OF THE CATEGORY
Summary. In the Azerbaijani and English languages, the category of quantity is one of the general grammatical categories and has a wide scope. The general content, essence of the quantity category is the same in all languages. However, the means of expression of quantity and the manner of expression are not exactly the same for all languages, each language has its own forms apart from the general means of expression. The concept of quantity was simple and simple in the first vital imagination of man. As a result of the development, complex, abstract meanings appeared in the concept of quantity. Complex, abstract meanings manifested themselves in the development stage of the singular and plural quantitative system.
