DEFENSE MECHANISM AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ITS TYPES

Summary. The scientific article describes the psychological essence and analysis of the defense mechanism. It is noted that psychological defense is a special system of personal stability aimed at traumatic stimuli in order to protect mental health. The scientific article consistently identifies the types of defense mechanisms. Age differences occur because the various defense mechanisms used regularly are not the same. It turns out that boys and girls use different defense mechanisms with different frequencies.
