THE ROLE OF COGNITIVE SKILLS IN
THE ASSIMILATION OF INFORMATION
Abstract. The article discusses the role of
cognitive skills in the absorption of information provided in modern information
communication systems. It is shown that currently both the old and the young
generation have a number of difficulties in the assimilation of information
provided by electronic means. Difficulties are caused by different forms of
information, used symbols, etc. The article justifies the role of cognitive
skills and competencies in solving those difficulties. In this field, the tasks
facing the education system are explained. The directions of the works to be
carried out are indicated.
