INCREASING ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION AS A TOOL FOR FORMING A LIFELONG EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE

Abstract. Strengthening the lifelong education system and creating educational infrastructure for this purpose are among the prioritized development directions of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The role of higher education institutions in promoting and organizing lifelong education, especially the importance of ensuring their accessibility for different population groups, is frequently emphasized. In this article, which evaluates the level of accessibility of higher education in Azerbaijan, the current state of admission mechanisms to higher education institutions is analyzed in terms of promoting lifelong learning, and potential reform directions for its transformation are identified.
