PROOF OF
SOME FORMULAS RELATING TO ANGLES
Abstract. In the
school mathematics course, many formulas for angles are given to students
without proof. Examples of these are the usual formulas for an acute angle,
determination of the angle between the hands of the clock, determination of the
distance from the point inside the angle to the top of the angle, and so on.
The distance from a point to a vertex taken
within an acute and blind angle is one of interest. To determine this distance,
the formula for the distance from the point taken within the acute angle to the
vertex is first determined. Then the case of blind angle is considered. The
determination and proof of the formula for both cases are shown.
Thus, the proof of the formulas given to
students arouses interest in them. The ability to use these formulas increases,
logical thinking develops.
