PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS IN
THE TEACHING OF BIOLOGY THROUGH PRACTICAL WORK
Abstract. In biology teaching, the focus
should be on developing skills rather than memorizing information. The use of
practical work helps foster students' creativity and potential. In some topics,
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is used for conducting practical
activities. Unfortunately, some schools still lack the ne-cessary ICT tools,
which affects the quality of biology lessons. Another issue is the lack of
additional time for practical work during lessons. As a result, there is often
insufficient time to complete certain practical activities within a single
lesson. To address these issues, several steps need to be taken. One of these
is the teacher's choice of method. The application of case-based technologies,
which incorporate va-rious practical techniques, methods, and approaches, can
also be used to perform many practical tasks effectively.
