RESEARCH ON TEACHER TRAINING IN AZERBAIJAN AND SEVERAL OTHER CIS COUNTRIES
Abstract. This article examines the evolution and
current landscape of teacher education in Azerbaijan and other CIS
(Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, focusing on reforms,
institutional development, and pedagogical innovations in the post-Soviet period.
The study also analyzes the functional role of key state institutions, such as
the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which has
played a significant role in establishing systematic and continuous
professional development for educators.
