METHODOLOGICAL FEATURES OF TEACHING PHILOSOPHY IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Abstract. This article aims to understand the main
problems of philosophical and pedagogical methodologies and methods arising
from the need to improve the level of higher education in modern conditions,
which, when considering the successive historical types of culture and
philosophy, it becomes clear that each of them corresponds to certain methods
of philosophy. The article examines some features of teaching philosophy in
universities of the Republic of Azerbaijan. One of the most difficult and
important stages of teaching this subject is considered to be the
familiarization of students with the basic concepts of philosophical science
(“philosophy”, “metaphysics”), the clarification of the meanings of terms that
are important for independent study of philosophical works by students. The
issue of the image of a modern philosophy teacher is also included in a number
of public discussions. First of all, this is due to the understanding that
philosophy is a profession or a calling. What happens in reality? A person who
knows the material perfectly does not always have the opportunity to “ignite”
the audience and open up to them the centuries-old tradition of philosophical
knowledge. The teacher, I am sure of this, must combine the qualities of a
speaker, teacher and artist. The educational reforms carried out in the
Republic of Azerbaijan allow us to talk about the reassessment of social and
humanitarian subjects and their status in the educational process of higher
education, so that the reduction in the number of teaching hours of
humanitarian subjects and the removal of elective courses related to how social
and humanitarian subjects return to these subjects can be considered an
indicator of current trends
