Abstract. The article
tells that after the Republic of Azerbaijan gained independence, as in all
spheres, the reforms carried out in the education system led to a number of
changes, innovations and modernizations. The integration of the education
system of our country with the education of famous advanced countries of the
world required updating the content of physical education in accordance with
modern requirements. Insufficient study of the history and various aspects of
the development of physical education in the years of independence poses a
number of problems for the health of the younger generation and the training of
teaching staff in accordance with modern requirements.
