THE EFFECT OF ARTIFICIAL
INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIO-EMOTIONAL COMPETENCES
Abstract. Artificial intelligence is an
integral part of our life. There is no area in our daily life where we do not
use technical means. Although we used to accept it as scientific innovations
that made our life easier, nowadays the rapid development of technology and its
interference in our lives leads scientists to think about certain questions.
We know
that man is a social being. It is necessary to constantly communicate with
other people. Even in an era when less time is allocated to the development of
socio-emotional competencies, the cause of the various problems encountered by
young people, the correctness of the rapid adaptation of artificial intelligence
tools to educational life is not unequivocally accepted by scientists. Research
proves that chalk, ordinary blackboard, tape recorder, cassette, and
television were once considered the main tools in the education system, but
nowadays these tools are replaced by smart boards, computers, and tablets. As a
result of the application of such new technical tools in the educational
system, the availability of information and the possibility of referring to
millions of sources led to the achievement of more successful results by the
students. Today, the emergence of theories supporting the inclusion of robots
in educational life (W.Holmes, M.Bialik, C.Fadel, K.Porayska-Pomsta) makes us
think about the obstacles that can cause the development of socio-emotional
competencies.
