THE ROLE OF THE
TEACHER IN PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
Abstract. In project-based learning, the teacher acts as a
facilitator of learning, guiding students through the project-based learning
process and helping them develop the necessary skills and knowledge. Facilitators
always help students achieve a better learning experience. Guidelines are
needed for project-based learning to achieve the best results. The teacher
serves as a coach, providing feedback, support, and direction to students as
they work on their projects. Before beginning project-based learning, teachers
should be prepared to brainstorm ideas and discuss possibilities for where the
work could go, think about the topic that students are interested in, help
students articulate their questions, and direct them to available resources.
