FAMILY AS A SOCIO-CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONALITY
Abstract.
In modern times, one
of the factors that plays a fundamental role in human socialization is the family, and
a child first sees the world in the family. N. Ganjavi calls the family the
first society a child enters, and children take good and bad traits from their
family and parents. Each family, whether from a pedagogical, psychological, or
social aspect, plays the role of an example for the families that come after
it, and children growing up here repeat the family model that belongs to their
parents in their future family life.
The
classical approach defines the family as a social institution and its basis is
marriage, which is a form of social relations between a man and a woman.
Marriage, at the same time, regulates sexual life, determines the relations
between husband and wife within the family, their rights and duties, and the
purpose of raising children. The Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan
legally establishes monogamy.
The family,
which is the social nucleus of society, creates the socio-public landscape of
society with its spiritual culture and values. It cultivates a personality in
accordance with its cultural level, and its members are connected to each other
through household unity, mutual responsibility and assistance, a common family
budget, and a system of relationships between parents and between parents and
children.
