Abstract. Geography is a science of life, which is why the importance of local studies in the independent acquisition of knowledge and skills is invaluable. During the teaching process, it is possible to organize local studies relevant to any topic. Geography teaches about nature, and observation forms the foundation of geography. Local studies enable students to explore existing nature and conduct geographical observations. Creatively organized local studies during the teaching of topics create favorable conditions for students to carry out observations and investigate geographical phenomena and processes.
