THE ROLE OF SELF-DETERMINATION THEORY IN SHAPING SPORT MOTIVATION AMONG FEMALE VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS
Abstract. The article examines the role of self-determination theory in enhancing
the motivation of female volleyball players. It analyzes how the satisfaction
of athletes' psychological needs affects their sports performance by
identifying their intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. The article also
presents practical strategies aimed at developing sports motivation and methods
for their application. The effectiveness of the theoretical approach in
improving both sports performance and psychological well-being of female
volleyball players is emphasized.
