THE INFLUENCE OF FOREIGN WORDS ON OUR LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article examines the issues of the protection and correct use of the Azerbaijani language. The aim of the study is to identify the lexical and grammatical errors common in our language and to suggest ways to eliminate them. The main problems discussed include the correct use of words borrowed from Turkish and other foreign languages, language errors found in public places and on billboards, translation errors and orthographic inconsistencies. As a result, it is concluded that state institutions and society have a great responsibility for the protection and development of the Azerbaijani language, and that strict control over language rules in the media and public spheres is necessary.
