THE NECESSITY OF LABORATORY
WORK IN BIOLOGY TEACHING, IMPACT ON THE QUALITY OF TEACHING
Abstract. The article emphasizes the
importance of shaping a person and organizing training in accordance with the
needs of the times in the current era, which is characterized by the
development of science and technology. It is noted that in general education
schools, as in the country where the curriculum is applied, certain problems
remain in the field of biology teaching, one of which is whether laboratories
should be used correctly, which also plays an important role in the teaching of
biology subjects. The article also addresses another problem, namely, biology
teachers do not take laboratory lessons seriously. The lack of necessary
equipment and visual aids also creates conditions for students not to show
interest in laboratory lessons. In the activity section of the topic, that is,
in laboratory work, ICT is not used properly, virtual laboratories remain in
the shadows. The article examines the ways to solve this problem and
shortcomings, and certain proposals are made. Biology teachers are also educators
in the teaching process, they form the worldview of students. It is concluded
that laboratory work has a great impact on the quality of teaching. Studying
the activity section of the topic facilitates assimilation, the knowledge given
is remembered for a long time. If the solution of the problems posed in
laboratory work in biology subjects is carried out in accordance with modern
requirements, high quality in training can be achieved.
