ANALYSIS OF APPROACHES TO
INCREASE STUDENT ACTIVITY IN WORLD KNOWLEDGE LESSONS FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF
STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
Abstract. The article analyzes approaches
that increase student activity in teaching Life Sciences in primary grades,
especially within the framework of the principle of student-centered learning.
Student-centered learning is accepted as a main direction in the modern
pedagogical system and serves to ensure the active participation of students in
the educational process. The article examines the essence of student-centered
learning, its application methods, and how this approach affects the
development of creative, critical, and research-oriented thinking skills in
Life Sciences lessons. Examples and suggestions are given regarding the role of
teachers, the use of interactive methods, and the application of project- and
game-based approaches.
