THE PROBLEM OF SUICIDE CLASSIFICATION: APPROACHES AND PERSPECTIVES

Abstract. Suicide is a complex and interdisciplinary phenomenon that is classified from various points of view, including sociological, psychological, biological and philosophical approaches. Classification of suicides helps researchers in various fields to understand the main causes and risk factors of suicide, offering strategies for prevention and intervention in the suicide situation. The article considers various approaches to the classification of suicides, based on various theoretical approaches and empirical studies. Classifications of suicidal behavior of the most famous authors in the field of suicidology (such as E.Durkheim, K.Menninger, Edwin S. Shneidman, etc.) are analyzed.
