UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING IN THE CONTEXT OF INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
Abstract. This
article explores the theoretical foundations of Universal Design for Learning
(UDL) and its potential applications within the context of inclusive education.
The primary aim of the UDL model is to ensure equitable learning opportunities
for students with diverse educational needs. The article presents the core
principles of UDL, its pedagogical implementation, examples from international
practice, and recommendations for its adaptation in the Azerbaijani
educational context. The findings highlight UDL as an effective framework for
fostering inclusive learning environments.
This article explores the role and
significance of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) within the context of
inclusive education. The study focuses on the core principles of UDL and its
capacity to ensure equitable access to education for students with diverse
learning needs. Findings indicate that UDL fosters flexibility and
differentiation in teaching processes, supports teachers’ professional growth,
and enhances student engagement.
