ISSUES OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION IN SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL LITERATURE
Abstract.
Although the
scientific-theoretical and pedagogical literature provides sufficient
information about the ideological and aesthetic significance of the
“motherland-mother” parallels and the essence of patriotic education, there
remains a need for a deeper and broader clarification of the issue. This
necessity arises from the socio-scientific and pedagogical demands of the
current era. The transition in societal structures has led to different
approaches, as seen clearly in the comparison between the Soviet education
system and our national education system. The comprehensive development of a
person and the acquisition of high moral values occur through three main
stages: family, school, and independent life. These stages are closely
interconnected, and a failure in one will inevitably affect the others. The
emphasis on the concept of "patriotism" is due to the natural bond
between a child and mother – just as every citizen should feel connected
to their homeland, birthplace, and nation as a whole.
Scientific and pedagogical
literature pays significant attention to the essence of patriotism and
military-patriotic education, as well as the formulation and resolution of
related issues. The scientific-theoretical perspectives of Azerbaijani and
foreign educators spark great interest regarding the formation and solution of
patriotic education challenges. This article aims to clarify these problems.
