THE IMPORTANCE OF
READING WORKS OF FICTION IN THE FORMATION OF SPEECH SKILLS IN PRESCHOOL AGE
Abstract. Childhood
is one of the most sensitive stages in the formation of human personality.
During this period, the foundation of basic psychological and speech skills is
laid in children. Speech is the main tool for a child to communicate with
society, express their thoughts, and understand the environment. Introducing
works of art to children in preschool age has a significant impact on the
development of their speaking skills, the enrichment of their vocabulary, and the
formation of their emotional world. When using works of art, the main attention
should be paid to children's understanding and perception activities. The acquisition of knowledge and skills by
children during the lesson depends, first of all, on the professional guidance
of the educator-teacher. The teacher must be able to effectively use various
methods and tools in this process. He must help children to acquire knowledge
not just mechanically, but consciously and with understanding. The
educator-teacher must also pay special attention to the formation of speech
skills, thinking and aesthetic feelings in children. Children's speaking skills
should be developed consistently and purposefully under the guidance of the
teacher.
