METHODS FOR DEVELOPING YOUNG SCHOOLCHILDREN'S
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS
Abstract. This research article discusses
the vital psychological attributes of self-control and self-management in young
schoolchildren. This article aims to examine the profound impact of behavioral
control on children by considering the family environment and educational
context, with a focus on these two primary determinants. Self-control, the
ability to independently manage behaviors, emotions, and make decisions that
contribute to long-term goals, is crucial for personal development and success.
The family environment, encompassing aspects such as family structure and
support, plays a vital role in shaping a child's self-control. The article can
be a valuable resource for elementary school teachers to utilize as a new
source of knowledge in shaping the behavior of young children.
