NEW CHALLENGES OF TEACHING PHYSICS ON THE THRESHOLD OF THE THIRD MILLENNIUM

Abstract. The main goal of the ongoing reforms in the field of education and upbringing in the world is the formation of a healthy and comprehensively developed generation with high spiritual and moral qualities. To achieve this goal, the so-called "national model" of training highly professional specialists living in a new era, with new thinking, new production, working in new social conditions, rich in modern professional knowledge and skills is being introduced. It is important that the system of training, education and upbringing of specialists is closely linked to the requirements of reforms. As a result of the research, the introduction of a special course is proposed. The introduction of a special course into the training program of future teachers of the Physics direction will expand their opportunities in studying modern physics at micro, macro and mega levels, giving them a choice of important and relevant areas of modern physics within the educational process, based on the criteria we have highlighted.
