PEDAGOGICAL FEATURES OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHERS' PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract. The issue of developing professional competencies for the teaching profession is the focus of this article. The aim of the article is to highlight strategic directions and pedagogical features in the preparation of English language teachers, to present four main categories of professional competencies, emphasizing personal, cultural and social, professional, and educational competencies in the article. General information on the basic skills needed to be a successful foreign language teacher is examined. The article can be a significantly useful resource for the practical use of information and necessary knowledge in the preparation of English language teachers.
