THE ROLE OF TEACHER-PARENT COOPERATION IN THE
FORMATION OF TEACHER-PUPIL RELATIONS
Abstract. The
scientific article initially presented teacher-parent cooperation as one of the
most important components of a supportive environment. The main functions of
cooperation between school and family are shown. The “Azerbaijan Parent-Teacher
Association” and its essence, work function, and functional responsibilities
are shown. The importance of official reports in teacher-parent cooperation is
explained. Extensive information is provided about the forms of official
reports: student's record book, achievement book, class journals, electronic
spreadsheets, and e-mail. “Parent Days”, which are one of the individual forms
of contact between the school and the family, and its role in teacher-parent
cooperation is clarified. Parent meetings, class parent meetings, and ways to
organize them effectively are shown. Extensive information is also provided
about school-wide parent meetings, which are one of the collective forms of
contact between the school and parents, and the importance of their
implementation is shown.
As a result, it was
proven that one of the main goals of parent associations is the dissemination
of pedagogical ideas and the education of parents. It was shown that the most
difficult task in creating real contact with the family and providing them with
pedagogical advice falls on the class teacher.
