COMPETENT APPROACH TO OPTIMIZING THE TEACHING OF PEDAGOGY IN HIGHER PEDAGOGICAL
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Abstract.
The article includes the research of many scientists-pedagogues on the issue,
and the provisions related to competency in the legal normative documents of
the Republic of Azerbaijan. The selection and application of the most optimal
pedagogical technologies in the educational process determines the achievement
of high-level learning outcomes by students and the formation of professional
skills. The analyses conducted in the article confirm this idea. Thus, the
application of interactive technologies in the optimal teaching of the subject
of “Pedagogy” is studied in the article as an important factor in the
pedagogical mastery and competence of the teacher. The importance and practical
features of organizing problem lectures as a way to optimize lecture sessions
in teaching the subject of pedagogy are examined here. The competency-based
approach, as one of the main means of optimizing pedagogy, is studied in the
article as an effective methodological mechanism for implementing
competency-based education.
