FORMATION OF EXISTENTIAL SKILLS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF WOMEN'S EDUCATION
Abstract. This article reflects the issue of the role of women in the formation
of existential skills in the educational process. Autor, characterizing
information related approaches to existentialism focuses on the important
aspects of the educated women. It is noted that it is possible to build an
effective work system with an innovative and creative approach to the tasks
given in the textbook to develop existentialism in the “History of Azerbaijan”
lessons in general education schools. In the article some points regarding the
role played by educated women in the history of Azerbaijan, in the struggle for
statehood – Hamida Khanum Javanshir’s help to victims during the national
massacre, poems written by Ummugulsum, the first female poetess in the history
of our republic, in the spirit of anti-colonial struggle, are shown as examples
of existential skills that can prevent existential threats against our nation
and statehood. Also, about the girls’ schools operating in the territory of
Azerbaijan were discussed, and it is emphasized that our republic gave women
the right to vote sooner and without any restrictions than many democratic
countries. Also, it is emphasized that better mastering of humanitarian
subjects, especially history, by girls among students studying in general
secondary schools, as well as the fact that female teachers are more restrained
and caring in the training and education process, as well as, the fact that
more than 80% of the 150,000 teacher contingent working in Azerbaijan’s
educational institutions are made up of women can increase the efficiency of
the existential development process and that these factors will contribute to
ensuring the curriculum principles. At the same time, the work planned to be
implemented worldwide by international organizations in the direction of
increasing women’s education and the steps taken by our country in this
direction are discussed.
