THE CONCEPT OF EMOTIONAL COMMUNICATION AND PERSPECTIVES FOR ITS STUDY
Abstract. In the modern era, when interpersonal relationships determine the
outcome of activities, the importance of emotional communication is increasing.
In this article, emotional communication is considered as a subject of
analysis, first separately, and then at the same level, within the categories
of communication and emotions. The concepts of communication and pedagogical
communication are defined, including the concept of emotional communication. In
explaining emotional communication, along with analyzing the characteristics of
its formation and development, the structure and components of emotional
communication are also considered. In particular, the cognitive, subjective,
and expressive aspects of emotional communication are highlighted, which are
formed by communication and emotions that closely interact in terms of
functionality. It is noted that emotional communication has such basic
components as nonverbal means, information with emotional content, empathy,
emotional intimacy, emotional intelligence, and perception and understanding of
emotions. At the same time, research directions or approaches in which
emotional communication is developed have been grouped and analyzed.
