TURKOLOGICAL CONGRESS AND FORMATION OF SCIENTIFIC-METHODOLOGICAL BASES OF EDUCATION IN THE TURKISH WORLD (1926 -2026: SCIENTIFIC-PEDAGOGICAL ANALYSIS IN A CENTENNIAL PERSPECTIVE)
Abstract. The
First Turkological Congress held in Baku in 1926 represented a crucial
milestone in the scientific, cultural and pedagogical integration of the Turkic
world. The Congress was not merely a linguistic forum but a strategic platform
that laid the methodological foundations for educational reform, terminological
standardization and script modernization across Turkic societies.
This article examines the impact of the
Congress on educational systems, curriculum reform, teacher training, textbook
policy and the institutionalization of Turkology. The findings demonstrate that
the Congress significantly contributed to the modernization of education and
the formation of a unified scientific-pedagogical framework in the Turkic
world. The centenary of the Congress is evaluated as the beginning of a new
phase of educational integration among Turkic states.
