THE ROLE OF MODERN PEDAGOGY IN THE FORMATION OF SCHOOL STUDENTS’ PERSONALITY
Abstract. This article discusses the role of pedagogy in society and
human life, as well as its significance within the modern education system. It
is emphasized that pedagogy is not limited to the transmission of knowledge; it
also contributes to the formation of students’ personalities, the development
of moral values, and the enhancement of social skills. In the contemporary
period, the application of innovative methods, interactive teaching techniques,
and student-centered approaches in pedagogy makes the learning process more
effective.
The article particularly highlights the
role of the school in shaping students’ personalities. It explains the
importance of cooperation among teachers, schools, and parents, as well as the
necessity of age-appropriate, gradual supervision and guidance for students.
The impact of the teacher’s individual approach and the establishment of
teacher–student relationships based on mutual respect and understanding on the
quality of education is also noted. Furthermore, a comparison is made between
the traditional teacher–student model of the past century and the modern, more
democratic and collaboration-based model.
In addition, attention is given to the
development of students’ communication skills and the psychological changes
associated with different age stages. Overall, the article presents the
contemporary directions of pedagogical development and outlines the role of the
school in the comprehensive development of students.
