THE IMPORTANCE OF TEACHING
HISTORY BASED ON CONTENT LINES
Abstract. The article
examines the significance of teaching history based on content lines. The study
analyzes the impact of instruction organized according to five main content
lines defined in the history curriculum, historical time, historical space,
state, personality, and culture-on the development of students’ historical
thinking as well as their analytical and critical thinking skills. It is
determined that teaching based on content lines ensures a systematic and
consistent understanding of historical events and processes, facilitates the
establishment of cause-and-effect relationships, and contributes to the
formation of national and moral values. The role of content lines in
implementing the developmental and educational functions of history education
is substantiated.
