THE THEORETICAL PARADIGM OF INSTRUCTIONAL
TECHNOLOGIES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF COGNITIVE ACTIVITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION
Abstract.
The article theoretically analyzes
the role of modern instructional technologies in the development of cognitive
activity in higher education, particularly in the process of teaching history.
Modern innovative technologies are characterized as a system of methods, tools,
and approaches that ensure a more effective, interactive, and engaging
acquisition of historical knowledge and skills. The application of these
technologies contributes to enhancing students’ cognitive activity, fostering
analytical and critical thinking skills, and promoting a deeper understanding
of cause-and-effect relationships in historical events and processes. The use
of information and communication technologies, interactive methods,
project-based and problem-based learning increases the dynamism of history
classes and the overall effectiveness of the educational process. As a result,
students move from the position of passive listeners to active learners,
acquiring the ability to conduct independent research and apply acquired
knowledge in practical activities. In this regard, the implementation of
innovative instructional technologies in higher education plays a significant
role in improving the quality of the pedagogical process.
